CCDO Cards

The below information details the NVQ requirements for CCDO cards and other pre-requisites for applying. We are able to deliver NVQs for CCDO cards here at Prime Qualification, and can also assist with any demolition training requirements you may have.

CCDO Demolition And Refurbishment Operative Card 

The CCDO Demolition And Refurbishment Operative card qualifies individuals in the demolition of non-load bearing structures and the removal of fixtures and fittings as well as using mechanical hand tools. This card is renewable.

In order to apply for the card you must have the following:

–  Achieved the Level 2 Demolition & Refurbishment NVQ

– Completed the Apprenticeship course or hold a red (3 Year) Demolition and Refurbishment Operative CCDO Card

– Current Demolition Specialist or above Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Touchscreen Test pass

– Current Asbestos Awareness Certificate – must be UKATA, NDTG, ACAD or ARCA accredited

For card renewal, operatives will need to sit the 1-day Demolition & Refurbishment Course

 

CCDO Advanced Demolition Operative Card (formerly Topman)

The CCDO Advanced Demolition Operative card qualifies individuals in the demolition of structural elements including operation of relevant tools, interpretation of drawings and structural hotworks. This card is renewable.

In order to apply for the card you must have the following:

– Held the red CCDO Advanced Demolition Operative card or have at least 5 years demolition experience verified by a CV

– Current Demolition Specialist or above Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Touchscreen Test pass

– Current Asbestos Awareness Certificate – must be UKATA, NDTG, ACAD or ARCA accredited

– Achieved the Level 3 Demolition Topman NVQ

For card renewal, operatives will need to sit the 1 day Topman course

 

 

CCDO Demolition Chargehand Card

For ‘working supervisors’ leading a team of CCDO Topman, CCDO Demolition Refurbishment Operatives and CCDO Labourers to perform specific demolition or dismantling tasks, reporting to a CCDO Demolition Site Supervisor.

In order to apply for the card you must have the following:

– Hold the red (3 Year) CCDO Chargehand card or have a minimum of 5 years demolition industry experience

– Current Demolition Specialist or above Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Touchscreen Test pass

– You must hold a current Asbestos Awareness Certificate – must be UKATA, NDTG, ACAD or ARCA accredited

– Achieved the Level 3 Demolition Chargehand NVQ.

 

CCDO Demolition Supervisor (5 Year Card)

This card qualifies individuals to take responsibility for demolition operations on site including planning and delivering site inductions and ensuring effective communication amongst the team.

In order to apply for the card you must have the following:

– Must have sat and passed the 5 Day CCDO Demolition Supervisor course and hold the red 3-Year CCDO Supervisor card

– Current Supervisor Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Touchscreen Test pass

– You must hold a current Asbestos Awareness Certificate – must be UKATA, NDTG, ACAD or ARCA accredited

– Achieved the Level 4 Demolition Supervisor NVQ

CCDO Demolition Manager (5 Year Card)

Cardholders will be qualified to take on the full responsibility of a demolition project.

– Must have sat and passed the 5 Day CCDO Demolition Managers Course and hold the red 3-year CCDO Managers Card

– You must hold a current Asbestos Awareness Certificate – must be UKATA, NDTG, ACAD or ARCA accredited

– A Pass in the Managers & Professionals Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Touchscreen Test within the last 2 years

– Achieved the Level 6 Demolition Manager NVQ

CCDO Demolition Contracts Manager (5 Year Card)

Cardholders will be qualified to take on the full responsibility of a demolition project.

– Must have sat and passed the 5 Day CCDO Demolition Managers Course and hold the red 3-year CCDO Managers card

– You must hold a current Asbestos Awareness Certificate – must be UKATA, NDTG, ACAD or ARCA accredited

– A pass in the Managers & Professionals Health, Safety & Environment test within the last 2 years

– Achieved the Level 7 Construction Contracts Manager NVQ
