About the qualification

The awarding body for this qualification is ProQual.

The NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management qualification is for managers with 5+ years of experience in a management role, working either for the main contractor or a large specialist subcontracting company. Once achieved, the qualification will provide the knowledge and confirmation to employers, industry managers and card schemes that the learner has the necessary skills and knowledge needed to carry out the role of Construction Site Manager.

Once learners have completed their qualification and have passed the CITB HS&E test they can apply for a black CSCS card. For additional information regarding the CSCS card scheme please click here

£1700 + vat

Bookings made by phone or email are provisional only. We must receive a completed booking form and 50% of the qualification fee before we will register any learner with the awarding body.

The remaining balance for the qualification will be invoiced eight weeks from enrolment.

          About the qualification

          The level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Contracting Operations Management qualification is for those working within a management role within the construction industry.

          There are four optional units to choose as well as the five mandatory units to achieve.

          Mandatory

          • Maintaining construction health, safety and welfare systems in the workplace
          • Managing the performance of teams and individuals in the workplace
          • Leading meetings and taking decisions in the workplace
          • Developing and maintaining working relationships in the workplace
          • Managing your personal development in the workplace

           

          Optional (4 to choose)

          • Planning surveys in the workplace
          • Establishing the condition of property in the workplace
          • Identifying, assessing and evaluating project requirements in the workplace
          • Coordinating project designs in the workplace
          • Specifying production document requirements and ensuring the control and maintenance of project information in the workplace
          • Developing a programme of works and a procurement programme in the workplace
          • Implementing strategic and integrated supply chain management and sourcing partnerships in the workplace
          • Obtaining tenders and appointing contractors in the workplace
          • Evaluating enquiries and submitting tenders in the workplace

            Diploma in Licensed Asbestos Removal for Contract Manager
            About the qualification

            The Level 4 SQA Diploma in Licensed Asbestos Removal for Contract Manager qualification covers the management of staff involved in asbestos removal and the management of sites at which asbestos removal is taking place. Please note: in England this is an equivalent of a level 6 qualification. 

            By achieving the qualification, candidates will understand the health and safety requirements that are relevant to asbestos removal, methods and procedures for removing asbestos and understand how to effectively manage the sites on which asbestos removal is taking place.
